I need an intervention.

Okay, so I am beyond frustrated. Three days ago I weighed in at 217. This morning, I get on the scale and am greeted with 221.4. What the f! Four pounds in three days? You know what I did today to celebrate that little piece of info? I ate two f-ing pieces of crusty french bread with butter. Know why? Because I can! Because this fill is non-existent!

A moment please...           ...                  ...                    ...

So, a few thoughts on what is going on here, bullet style:
  • I've been logging my food for the past three days and I am definitely getting enough protein.
  • I quit taking the pill last week. Perhaps I am experiencing some PMS? A little pre-period bloat? The pill I was taking was the mini-pill, which is a constant low dose of hormones and no off-week. So my periods have been all over the place and I didn't have many PMS symptoms while taking it. Welcome back to the real world, eh?
  • I've been carbing it up like no one's business. Sunday I will admit I logged about 2500 calories. It's like my stomach was a bottomless pit of carb craving. I feel sick just thinking about it.
  • I'm not drinking enough water.
  • It's been a few days since I've pooped. Hmmm.
All signs point to water retention? Short term plan is to drink drink drink, cut carbs, and do some exercise. I will be readjusting my weekly weight goals if I'm not back to 217 by Friday.

Want. To. Scream.

Mmmmmm, crusty bread. Ooops, probably wrong thing to say. Going off the pill can definitely mess with your weight. Hang in there.

Eating crusty bread only makes you want to eat more crusty bread! Step away from the bread! What I sometimes do (and had to do this week to detox from Chicago) is go on liquids for a day. Protein shakes and water for a whole day. Seems to help with the cravings. The rest is willpower. Good luck!!!!!

Hormones are a bitch! There, I said it. I use Benefiber everyday in my morning coffee and I go everyday like a champ!

I have gone up the last week - and my eating has been crap. I know it's even worse for you with no fill, but I'm with you on the drink, drink, drink & protein.
You can do it!

That sucks, I hear you. Probably mostly water retention. Back away from the carbs, drink water, and hopefully you will go back down!

You can do this. Hormones... too many calories one day.... not enough water in..... crusty bread.... other carbs.... 4lbs in a few days.... quite sure it's not a real gain.... water retention. get on target and do what you KNOW you need to do.... if you don't have restriction, it's up to you and you KNOW you can do it. Hugs!

I know you can do it, you who managed to maintain with ZERO restriction, don't forget that you are an allstar and you can rock this band. Call the doc set up another fill for a few weeks and just be real aggressive with fills until you get back on track.

P.S. I am a little jealous about the crusty bread - yum

Hey roomie! Ok, now that the vent is over lets get our butts in gear. You know that where you are right now is temporary. The old you would have never even made bullet points to show where she went "wrong". You WILL do this. I definately think less visits to the bathroom play a huge part in lack of weight loss. If you need to call the dr. back for a better fill.

You can do this! Look how far you have come already!! I think your journey is inspiring because it shows that its never too late with the band. No matter where we are right now it will get better-you will rock this band!
