They work fast and wear off relatively fast. But anti-depressants take weeks to get fully in your system so no way would they work as needed. Just shoot for a real low does every day instead and see if that helps.♥ Drazil ♥https://www.blogger.com/profile/10177140029694038645noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2617130383566134759.post-2161190962809641862012-08-10T21:03:31.476-04:002012-08-10T21:03:31.476-04:00I've never heard of an "as needed" a...I've never heard of an "as needed" antidepressant, since anything I'm aware of that hits SSRI's you need to gradually titrate up (or down) on to be effective/it's cumulative. Anti-anxiety meds are often prescribed as-needed though (and some anti-depressants also help with anxiety...and PMS might cause anxiety symptoms more than depression?) Some anxiety meds are also dangerous to quit cold turkey, but some you can take that way...shrinky dinky doo is a psychiatrist, right? lol So hopefully she knows what she is doing. :-) I'm no expert. If you felt comfortable with her/good connection, that is great. Nothing beats having a good rapport with your doctor. You can see how it works for you and go from there - hope it works out great!Cherihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16021424631132894016noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2617130383566134759.post-90133438018214188032012-08-10T15:36:19.655-04:002012-08-10T15:36:19.655-04:00I think the as-needed thing would be good.

I have been on Lexapro for the last year or so...and whenever I go off for more than a few days, I definitely notice a difference.Lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14508271987032801740noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2617130383566134759.post-78667903191649563462012-08-10T09:42:40.116-04:002012-08-10T09:42:40.116-04:00Hi lady!
